I mean, seriously. I'd convinced myself that I was fine with one Frenchie. She's not even a year old yet. I need to chill out and enjoy the time I get to spend with her and cherish every moment. But you all keep posting such adorable pictures and you're making my insides ache. I need to start saving for another one. Darn you all and your super freaking cute pups (and adults)! ;)

And my temperature is through the roof! But I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Haha I feel your pain! My guy is only 7 months and I'm already looking for #2 (much to my mother and boyfriend's chagrin!).

I think we're nuts, Erika. We're both still dealing with potty training, yet we can't wait for more. That's the power of a Frenchie. They should come with warning tags. Like mattresses or something.

Haha I know!! Although I do want an adult this time...maybe he can be a good influence on Hudson!! That's what I'll tell myself to try and justify it..

Sounds totally reasonable to me, but I'm insane ;)

I got bit by the bug too. Ollie was just a year when I decided ok - I HAVE to have another one....and my hubby was like....Julie....we have THREE dogs and you want to spend another 3000 on a new puppy? Plus the extra monthly expense for the health insurance because you know we have to cover both the frenchies! I was like, welllllllllll I will try to wait and that lasted about 3 weeks. I was looking at puppies online daily and showing him pictures. He finally was like, if you want another one just pick one. I was trying to go cheep at 1500 but I had my heart set on a blue. The breeder in my neighborhood is excellent but she wanted 4500 and UP for her babies and I could not justify that. So I found a breeder about 30 mins from my city and she had gorgeous blue babies. I was lucky and I got to pick him out of the entire litter. Great personality. Such a sweet boy. The hubby is already telling me, now look...this is it....I'm not buying you a puppy after Batman grows up just because you love having a puppy! LOL I told him yes dear. I promise 2 frenchies is my limit. I would not want more than that. I have a hard enough time giving both my boys a ton of LOVE and attention. :) I'm so devoted to both of them. I spend all my time on the weekends just planning outings for us to the doggie beach.

Don't blame us.... it is pure addiction to this little muchkins!! They are too darn lovable

LOL, they are doggy crack, that's for sure. I remember being on my hands and knees, cleaning up messes, and still thinking that I couldn't wait until I could afford another one. Then I'd back myself off and be rational for a day or two. Then I'd get on here and see pics of people who had more than one, or had gotten a new puppy and I was back on the train. They just have the best personalities. We'll be outside in the yard or on a walk and other dogs will just go nuts, but Bisou acts like she doesn't even see them. She's so mellow and calm. Don't get me wrong - she does plenty of running around like a fart in a skillet, but for the most part she's totally laid back.

Julie, I want a blue one too. My breeder recently added some to her program and has had a couple of litters - they're just gorgeous. But like you, I'd have a hard time paying that much more for a color. I have a feeling, though, that as I watch Batman grow it's going to sway my decision.

Gah! They really need to have some sort of treatment program for this addiction!

I always say, everyone needs more than one. :) We currently have three.

That sounds like solid advice, David. And I'm all for following good advice :)

If I wait until next summer (assuming the breeder's schedule is the same as mine), Bisou will be almost two. Is that a good age difference for dogs?

Ollie and Batty are 10 months apart in age and I think it's perfect. Ollie is old enough to show Batman the routine of the house and to teach him things, but young enough to really grow old with Batman. 2 years is good as well. Ollie still thinks mommy bought him the best interactive toy! But my entire family tells me I'm loving the baby more than Ollie which is not true at all. I think they know it just gets to me so they say it to get a rise out of me. I always greet Ollie first and love him first and he sits on my lap every night still and sleeps with me. He has not shown any signs of jealousy. But to be honest I do still worry about that. Ollie is my first frenchie and my love I would never want him to feel he has been replaced. I am in love and devoted to both my boys.

They're like chips.... You can't have just one. :)

My hubby said two is the limit though! Boooo

The magic number is 3 (or maybe 5). Definitely an odd number.

No, we are NOT planning on getting any more. Just sayin.
