Got an email alert today for answers brand dog food recall. I don’t buy it but I’ve seen it mentioned on these forums before.

The testing was done by Nebraska Department of Agriculture, not by FDA, so the straight beef formula was only withdrawn off market in Nebraska. The company that makes it requested part of the original sample back and didn't find salmonella in their testing. They stated that this means that the salmonella was introduced during the testing process at the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, or that their fermentation process worked to eliminate the rest of the salmonella before it was sent back to them.
