I've found that making a half hitch in his leash controls the urge to pull. The effect of pulling on his neck didn't phase him, but feeling the effects of pulling in front of his hind legs does--Buster doesn't pull anymore!!!

Hmmmm; I can't tell how you did it (?).

Stella pulls so hard I never have to clip her nails! I think she would freak out and not move if I did this to her though. She's is so hypersensitive/reactive. Glad you found a solution for Buster though!

So glad you found something that works! Can you describe what you did to the leash? It's hard to tell in the pic.

Sure, I bring the leash straight down his back, then wrap it around his belly and under the leash section on the top of his back. It is called a half hitch. Buster loves going on walks so much he tolerates it.

Oh, I get it; very cool! I will try that with Ginger, our dobie mix. She is a puller.

Never tried it, but looks good. Maybe the leash that goes around his belly hits his boy parts, that will explain why he stopped pulling. LOL

HAHAHA!!! He still lifts his leg to pee on top of where every dog in the neighborhood has peed and he doesn't get the leash wet! It does squeeze him like a cinch on a bucking bronc or bull and it is uncomfortable enough that he doesn't pull though!

I've used this in a pinch to also help lift an injured dog
