Article about dogs eating poop

I got this too and read it. So glad we don't have this problem! Yuck!!!

It was an interesting article, thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much!!! After reading this article, I now have more certainty that our girls do this because of the puppy mill cage environment they were raised in. It IS gross, we are on top of them all the time and the girls know darn well it's not acceptable behaviour in their house. When we catch them, we say a stern "No, Leave it!" and they run for the hills - actually thru the doggie door into the kitchen. Which also leads me to believe they were physically beaten in their former lives too.

I also wonder if they eat it because their poopies now taste better than the food they had in their former lives - they eat way better than me and my husband, all natural, veggies, quality dog food, cocnut oil, etc. ha.

When we first got the girls, they also would only pee on TOP of any furniture. Part of the hoarder lifestyle as well? But they are now house trained. I am hoping this obsession with #2 will go away with training too.

Thank you thank you!

Nice article. My Wally did this when he was a pup, but has since grown out of it. I have an old blind Minpin/Brussels mix who has enjoyed "dining out" his entire life. No matter what we tried it never worked. Back when he could see, he would follow our other dogs around, & scoop it up before it had even hit the ground. He was the canine version of a front end loader. To this day, I have to go out several times a day & clean the yard before he does. No one in the family is receptive to getting face kisses from Bubba. :)

Very interesting. Aiko doesn't do this anymore! She did when she was very young but now at almost 7 months she is over it
