Chew Monster!!!

Jax loves the Nylabone key ring!

Pups will be pups and love to chew on everything. Just stay after him and tell him NO and offer a chew toy. Once he starts teething in a few more weeks he will chew more. He will eventually out grow this. in the mean time you will have plenty of customized furniture.

Pierce loves to chew, too, and until recently has stayed to the things he is supposed to chew on. He found the corner of my iPad cover once and the corner of an end table. Randy said if I,left the iPad where he could get to it and then left the room, I couldn't get too mad-which was a good point, the end table was right beside his bed (which had gotten moved). I found the extra chewing is happening now, at four months, since he is just beginning to lose some baby teeth.his favorite things to chew on are anything that crinkles, anything he can shake, elk antlers, and the Nylabone Flexichews, he doesn't like the hard Nylabone as much. I got him the Nylabone puppy bone, but our dachshund also loves to chew them and she really takes pieces of it off. I just put that one in his crate. The Kong Wubbas are great, too.
I am going to order the Hide-a-Squirrel right now. We were saying that Pierce is the kind of dog that will love interactive toys. The biggest challenge will be keeping Schatzi from destuffing it!

I downloaded an app on the iPad for him to play with (which he absolutely loves) but he gets a little rough with it and I am scared he is going to crack the screen with his claws so I have to limit his time on it. I am definitely going to look for this one. Thanks!

What app did you download? That sounds interesting.

TeresaW I believe it's called game for dogs, it's free. It has a mouse or something that runs across the screen squeaking.

I've found that interactive toys really work well to distract Bisou from any "bad" behavior. She likes to be challenged. This has been a really great addition to the house. You hide the squirrels inside and the dog has to seek them out. Kind of hones their hunting skills as well.
I recently ordered some dog food through chewy.com and was short a few dollars for free shipping. Because Q has been so intrigued in her treat ball, I thought I'd get something else interactive, so I got the hide a squirrel toy. When I was cutting off the tags I'd tease her with the squeaky squirrels while hiding them in the tree stump. She has been playing for 10 mins so far. One she gets the squirrels out, she thinks there are more and sticks her whole nose in the toy. What a riot. I've bought the Martha Stewart hide a beaver toys in the past, but she never learned to get them out and they'd fall out on their own and she'd become obsessed with these lil beavers and carry them around the house. I'm so proud to see her development and understanding blossom before my eyes.

P.S. Pardon the terrible picture. I have an incredible camera on my cell phone that takes the most horrible pictures. I'm on the verge of getting an iphone just for the picture quality alone. Ha.

XoXo from Quella La Roux and her mommy too!
