ps His "given name" (by the breeder) was Rocco.

The first time I saw Gracie's little face, she was about 2 1/2 weeks old.



I saw Gus in person the day after he was born, but this is the first pic I have of him at 2 weeks old.

This was the first of many pics in Daphne's (she had a different name) Hoobly ad that I answered when I read her owner was looking for a new home for her. I made it my desktop wallpaper and begged my husband to go look at her until he couldn't take it anymore. Haha!

I was looking for black masked fawn and was actually looking at a female but then got this picture of her brother from the breeder I was chatting with and his name was Chip. I immediately fell in love and Chip became Jax.

This is an extremely beautiful thread! I love all the pics....how could you not adopt these babies??!?!!

Both of my pups were advertised on kijiji. The story I’m told is that Hugo was a gift from the breeder to a family that was too busy for him (don’t fully believe that but oh well). They hadn’t even named him but the pics sold me. I was about to adopt a pit bull but there was something about him I couldn’t get over.











A few weeks later I found an ad for Maple from a family of 5 kids, where one of the kiddos was terribly allergic to her. They were super sad to let her go, she was definitely loved and spoiled. I thought from the ad she would be perfect for Hugo - just 21 days older than him and fit my ideal image of what a match/lifetime friend would look like for Hugo right down to her colour. We arranged for a play date and thankfully they settled on me as their choice to rehome her.
