Hello,

Willow is still a puppy, 11 weeks. We are still working on crate training and in the morning she makes a mess and almost always needs a bath.

I think this daily bath is drying out her skin. She's got a little dandruff and one dry spot.

The baths are a must until we get her overnight mess under control.

Does anyone recommend a hydrating shampoo. Or some sort of post bath lotion to help with hydration?

Thank you!

Not sure if this is unwanted advice, but I would try to take care of the crate training issue first. I think I was still taking Gus out once in the middle of the night until about 12 weeks. Or maybe look at some things you can do to encourage her to not mess in her crate.

I'm sure others will have some shampoo suggestions, but I think it would be better just to not have to bathe her so often.

Yes, too much bathing is stripping her fur of natural oils. Are you doing a potty run during the night? At 11 weeks she can only hold it about 3 hrs and that is pushing it

Hi. Not every night we are doing a potty run. I will start doing that every few hours. Thank you for help!

Get a good schedule set and you wake to a clean crate and Willow [emoji16]

Remember 3 hours is her limit. a great guideline is 1 hour more than they are months old

Good advice! Her bladder capacity will grow as she grows! If she is pooping, cut back on her evening meal, but still have nighttime potty breaks!

What kind of shampoo are you currently using? Some shampoos are generally more drying than others. But I agree about nighttime potty breaks.
