Charlie Dexter is one of our two french bulldogs. He is 3 years old and is as active as can be. He is happy and full of energy. This past 12/19/2015 we awoke to find Charlie dragging his back legs. After an emergency visit to the Vet we discovered that he had 2 herniated disks in his back that was compressing his spinal cords and causing paralysis. We started a gofund for him: https://www.gofundme.com/h4fwfcas
He had surgery which didnt go to well. We are considering Laser treatments and are wondering if anyone has any experience with this. Thank you!

Welcome! Sorry his surgery didn't go well. I personally don't have any experience with this, but just wanted to say hello and we will think good thoughts for your Charlie.

So sorry about your sweet boy!

Yes, I had a 9yr Bulldog that we did laser sessions on for many years --- she had what is called 'butterfly disks' ,,, it did wonders for her.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about that! Do you have any pet insurance to help with the costs? Hopefully he gets all fixed up as soon as possible. Good luck.

Thank you all for your well wishes! I'm so glad to hear you had positive results with laser. Charlie will be starting his on Monday! FIngers crossed!

Oh, Charlie, I am so sorry. That is such a worry. I am friends with a woman where that happened with her Doberman. She did surgery and a lot of different therapies but I think the one that helped the most was water therapy. Don't know if that is near you or feasible. "Greta" is fine now; that was like three years ago.

Aw that video is heartbreaking! A worst nightmare come true!

I am so sorry about Charlie and I do hope that you find a solution for your sweet boy!

Keep in mind -- the results are not immediate, it takes a few weeks to see them and then you have to continue to maintain.... Banks went once a month (we called it spa day) and we could see a difference if we were late with getting her in for a session... so stay on top of the schedule and you will be happy with it.

Wishing all the best for Charlie and hoping the laser treatments will give good results
