We are originally from the United States, but currently in Europe right now. My husband and I bought our new baby pup out here. He is now 9 weeks old and we named him Sebastian. We are new frenchie owners and I decided to join this site because I love to learn as much as I possibly can about this breed so I can be a more successful owner and help keep my puppy safe and healthy. So far he is a great puppy. He knows lay down, sit, and shake. He basically sleeps through the night, I only take him to potty once, maybe twice during the night. He is in a biting, nipping, chewing stage of course, but we are remaining patient and consistent with him. He is being crate trained and he has no problems in his crate. I am anxious for his first veterinary appointment, which I still have to make. I have a lot of questions/concerns just because I like to already know, but hopefully after reading a lot of what other owners post on here, it will help to answer those. Can't wait to get started!!
Have a great day ALL! :)

Welcome to you and Sebastian! You have come to the right place to learn about Frenchies!

Welcome to the forum :)
What part of Europe are you in right now ? :)
(I am originally from Germany).

Yes! He is super smart! I wish I could post a video!

:hiii::welcome::peekaboo:You most certainly have found the right place as you can see the people are friendly and want to help, however it goes far beyond that if you let it. The support and knowledge given / offered is incredible the emotional support surpasses anything and the place is addictive. Still want in - on the top of the page is a very handy search engine play around with it and you will be surprised with what you come up with.
Look forward to reading your future posts and of course more, more pics - welcome aboard

:welcome3: to FBN! Over here we love photos and videos!

Do you guys have pet insurance ? if not maybe something to look into

Welcome to the family, and looking forward in seeing your baby grow up.

:welcome: Sebastian! I love his colouring!

As for insurance...it has been a lifesaver for us, so yes, recommended to have. In case something happens, the treatments can be really expensive and clinic stays as well.
We had a full medical cover for Moses since he was 10 wks old.

Oh, how do you like Belgium? I was based there 5 years, few years back :)
The good thing in Belgium is that it is extremely dog friendly. You can take your little buddy practically everywhere! :D
