Hello, all! We just adopted our first Frenchie, Louie. He is little brother to Molly, our boxer. :)
Louie will be 13 weeks tomorrow and Molly will be 6 years old in about 2 months. Any advice or information anyone would like to share is greatly appreciated. I'll post a photo soon!

Welcome! Can't wait to see your cuties!!

Welcome to the site and looking forward in seeing your new baby. You will find out that Frenchies are awesome.

Welcome! Can't wait to see pics. You will quickly become frenchie addicted. They are the best.

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! Below is Louie, our new addition, and Molly, our boxer.

Your boxer looks HUGE next to little Lou!

Adorable, the both of them!

Welcome! Your Louie has the same coloring as my little Miss T! He's adorable! Molly doesn't look quite thrilled, lol but I'm sure she is adjusting. Have fun with your little guy and keep the pictures coming!

Totally cooing over here over Louie's massive satellite dishes!! He looks like such a ham! Our pups were almost the same age when we got them - 16 week Frenchie and 6 year shepherd mix - and they were best buds immediately. We never realized how bored and lonely Shasta was until we brought her home a new little sister, and now she acts like a puppy again! They're always tearing through the house and the yard going nuts after each other. From what I've seen myself and heard, Boxers have very similar personalities to Frenchies and are total goofballs. I'm sure Molly will make a great big sister! Looking forward to seeing all their antics.

EDIT: I just noticed you're in San Diego as well! We may have to set up a play date one of these days ;)

So happy for you and your new little family! Both of them are angels. Ginger, our dobie mix, took to Bambi immediately and she can be persnickety about other dogs. I can tell Bambi is dominant, although she is dwarfed by Ginger. She gives it waaay worse than she gets and she is a little tuffy. We lost our Am. Eskimo two years ago and Ginger had been alone until we got Bambi. I do think she is so much happier having Bambi. The two of them sleep on the bed and must be touching. It makes me so happy to see. They play like maniacs but Ginger is very gentle.

Welcome! Your little Louie is adorable! I'm in So CA too, but inland.

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, Ann, Molly was less than thrilled with Louie at first. She was an only dog for nearly two years since our other boxer passed. The biggest issue was that she wasn't sure how to play with him. She "boxed" him right away, much to our horror. The good news is that they are now the best of buddies. She knows just how gentle she needs to be with him and she's quite tolerant when he's climbing all over her head while she's trying to nap. She's playing so much more now and she seems to enjoy showing Louie how to be a good boy.

Megan, a play date sounds great! Louie has one more set of shots and then maybe we can meet up!

Our 2 frenchies go to war... Lol
I've heard boxers do the same together, very rough players.

Glad they get along! They are seriously so precious!
