Himalayan Chews are a hit!

What are Himalayan chews?
Banksy loves pigs ears so we have been sticking to those so far... I haven't tried antlers yet either but keep hearing about them!

I would be careful with the pig ears as dogs can choke on them. We avoid bully sticks, rawhide, pig ears, etc. and stick to nylabones, antlers or raw bones.

We only let him chew on them when supervised. We take them away at night and if we are away during the day.

But thanks for the suggestions because I would love for him to have something that he can always have

Okay, I have had Twiggy for going on 2 months and she just got the Himalayan chew down to a size that I wasn't comfortable with so I took it away and put it in the microwave. It puffed up, kind of like popcorn and now she is chewing on that. So, $10 and it lasted almost two months. That's a winner in my book. I'm definitely ordering her another one. I'm happy with it too. I'm so funny about what I let my dogs have, until this it's been only Nylabone so I am really pleased.

Yay! I love those things and so does Radar. He has gotten to the point that when it gets small enough he throws it at me so I can microwave it for him and make it the best treat ever.

I just got Dexter one of these after reading about them here. As Chiana mentioned they don't sell them so I had to pay import prices. Money well spent! He loves it and it's really helping with teething as he got fed up with the nylabone.

We are heading to the US next month so I'll be searching out a pet store and stocking up :D

I'm still hunting them down. Turns out that even Amazon won't ship them to Finland. Now in process of placing order to UK and picking them up next month when we visit there :)
Seems like that company is missing out on a huge market share ;)

Hmmm, never heard of them. Of course, Bambi must have one! :D My mission today as I have to pick up dog food anyway.
blushy, you crack me up - "my dogs are brats."

Yes, Bambi must have one! It may take her a little while to start at it. Twiggy was a little interested in it at first but once she started chewing it and got a taste for it, that was all she wrote. She was in love!

I'm downloading books while the dogs are busy chewing on their Himalayan chews right now. They are perfect when I want time to myself without being stared at by Wally or having Uma hit me with her ball. :D

They were not available in any stores near me until this summer. I used to order online but now I just go to my local pet store.

Wow, I picked up some today while running errands and they love them - Bambi especially! She only stopped gnawing on it to have her dinner and then went back to it immediately. I am so happy when the dogs are happy. I got a three-pack of the small and will give two to my sister tomorrow for her two little ones (cockapoo, maltipoo).

Yay I'm glad that she likes it! I bought the large for Twiggy, so that may be why it lasted so long. I'm pretty sure I saw some in Target here.

I'd have to buy the large, the second smallest antler size is demolished in a couple hours in this house. Major power chewers in this house!!

I bought three small and one medium yesterday and gave two of the smalls to my sister. Bambi loved it so much I went back and bought a four pack of smalls today. She was going to town on them and chewing all day. Now two of them are missing (and she didn't eat them). $$$ :bitching: I think she got tuckered and buried/hid them in the backyard. Last night she put one in the couch cushion but I spotted it up because it was sticking up.

Same here! Wally can chew down a medium sized chew in about an hour. Uma takes longer but usually she waits until Wally's is gone and then she will tease him with hers. They're like human siblings. lol!
