From our visit yesterday .
He looked up to watch my wife walk out of the room.
More great news with this morning's update!
The doctor said he is stronger than yesterday, especially his hind quarters!!
Will probably come home on Friday!!
We will visit him this afternoon. It will be the highlight of our day.
Thank you all!!

Thank you so much for asking and caring.
Charlie blew us away yesterday. When the two techs brought him in, he was sitting up
on the cushion as he was carried in. I asked if she would put him on the floor.
When she did, he stood up, walked over to my wife and kissed her!!
She was overcome and started crying uncontrollably. It was emotional for both of us.
They purposely did not tell us how much he had improved to surprise us!
The PT tech came in and started crying too. Charlie loves her and they all love him.
The neurologist came by and celebrated too!!
It was wonderful. A roomful of people celebrating our boy's progress!
Everyone there is so warm and caring.
And now for the best part!!
We brought him home this afternoon!!
Our little boy is back! He is still very weak. We have to restrict his movement for a few weeks,
He cannot romp around with his sisters. He can be knocked off balance very easily and fall.
Already got knocked down by Sammie as she wanted to play.
We may have to invest in a pen to keep them away from each other.
His gait is not real steady at this point, but his appetite is good.
We were given instructions for some exercises for him, and he'll go back for more rehab exercises.
He is still taking some meds and can only have three short walks a day of three minutes each.
He really perked up when we got home.
While a tough way to learn, this experience was very a valuable learning experience.
We discovered a brand new emergency room with awesome internal medicine vets.
and two incredible neurologists with an amazing staff.
We also fell more in love with our vet!! She is wonderful.
We feel very comforted by this.
The timing for this to happen was critical too.
It started last Thursday night. We were all packed up for a trip to visit friends in North Carolina the following
morning. We quickly cancelled our plans.
We had two friends scheduled to help us, staying in our home and sleeping with our babies,
but we're glad we were here when it happened.
Thanks all for reaching out with your good thoughts, prayers, and well wishes.
They most certainly helped!!

Oh my gosh, how scary! I am so sorry for your experience. Sounds like you have a great vet and you are so devoted to your baby. I can't wait to hear when you can bring him home and work on his rehab there. I would be an absolute mess. I hope he continues to improve every day. God bless.
Yay Charlie!! Such a strong little guy!!!! SO happy he's home and on the mend!
How's Charlie doing?
So wonderful!!! Thanks for the update!! Please continue to keep us posted.
AHHH! Love this detailed and very, very happy update and love the photo!
What terrific news and the most ideal outcome for your family!
Hoping Charlie continues to make progress now that he is home. You guys must be so relieved!

Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Charlie is doing wonderfully!!
He's had five physical therapy sessions with a tech that he loves!!
One more session on Thursday and they feel he won't need anymore.
We will not miss the 42 mile trip!!
He's a little stronger every day.
His gait is almost normal, although he cannot yet run in the grass.
He will stumble and fall. This is tough to see, but it will soon be a thing of the past!!
When we picked him up this afternoon after his PT, the tech told us that his progress is awesome!!
The neurologist said his recovery has been remarkable!!
We like these words!!
He is not yet strong enough to jump up on the furniture
His bark has not fully returned, still a little weak.
He will soon be 100%.
He is playful again!!
We are so thankful to have our little boy back.
He scared the bejeebers out of us!!
Once again, thanks to you all for your kind words and well wishes!!
I've said it before, this place is wonderful!!
Thank you.
Yes we are very relieved! Thank you
