How do I get my dog to stop shredding his bed

For the past 2 weeks my 8 month old won't stop tearing apart his bed when he's left alone in his crate. I'm tired of buying new ones so frequently but I don't want to have to leave him in his crate without something soft for him to lay on. I've also tried putting down a towel but he rips that apart too [emoji19]

I have not. I was afraid to try that because I don't want him to in turn not like his bed. I purchased a calming spray off of amazon, but I have a feeling it's not going to do much haha

I was afraid at first too! But he ended up fine maybe because he sleeps on my bed now! Frenchies are so stubborn but they're the best [emoji190][emoji195]

Buster shredded his K-9 Ballistics bed, it just took a little longer. What he doesn't shred is the PRIMO CRATE PAD with tie downs. They are easy to clean, and if he scratches while nesting the covering will flake off but that takes a couple of years and then you can flip the pad.

Sometimes, they jsut can't have one.... i hope you find something that works, but if not it may be best they do not

Best thing is stop buying them for him. We have an English that does that so she doesn't get a bed, only a Primo vinyl crate pad, they work great.

When Maddy was small and in a smaller crate, I got her K9ballistic Tuff crate pad. Now that she's in a slightly bigger crate, I got her the orthopedic tuff crate pad. When it's just washed, she'll claw at the pad, I guess because it smells different. After a few seconds of clawing, she's fine with it until I wash it again. But overall, the pad cover has held up fine.

They sell them at dog shows. Google them and you can order one over the phone. Their shipping is very reasonable!
