My Frenchie is about 9 1/2 months. He is doing fairly well at house training for the most part. When do Frenchie's typically REALLY get it? He frequently gets excited and pee's everywhere or he is just playing and lets it fly! He pee's on my bed so often that I have to change the whole bedding every few days. He also pee's on the couch! I love him but it's driving me nuts and ruining our rental house carpet! I have been confining him to our sun room but feel bad :(

Any suggestions cause this Mama is going nuts??

Thank You!

Start fresh on potty training. Put him on a schedule and stick to it and give lots of praise when he gets it. 9 months is still fairly young and he might not be there yet. Our frenchie took a long time till she totally had it down with zero accidents!

If there is no improvement with a strict potty schedule and lots of positive enforcement you could have your vet check to be sure there is no UTI or other health issue that might be causing the leakage.

Good luck! :)

Thank You MamaAndi!! I'll keep trying. 4 kids + Frenchie = Impatient Mama LOL

totally agree! Cheli took a full 2 years to get on the program

Could he be marking too or is he neutered? But I agree that a schedule is the key to success and some just have to relieve themselves more frequently. Jake can hold it forever but Stella needs to go every few hours.

I agree with the above. Some dogs just plain take longer than others.
