Okay technically I was making sweet potato chews. I have made them before, but not since I got Twiggy. I used my new mandolins slicer but the widest setting made them too thin so they turned out more like sweet potato chips but that's okay. She loves them and they are nothing but sweet potatoes dehydrated...that's it! I think next time I may marinate or season them with fresh mint or parsley. I read where people did that and it works as a breath freshener. I need to learn more about those to make sure they are safe though before I do that.

great work.... not sure on the mint, but I think parsley is fine

I have given Jax fresh parsley in his food before to try and help with his breath.

When I was looking for dehydrated treat recipes, I also read that a sprinkle of parsley is fine.

Looks great :)
You can also dip them in (raw)honey & then sprinkle them with all kinds of yummy things.

This is a dumb question but do you mean dip them after they have been dehydrated?

lol good question! I personally havent dont them but I know somebody who does & he uses the honey so that whatever you sprinkle on it, stays on it.
I think he might do it before he dehydrates them because they are never sticky. Or maybe he dehydrates, then does it and lets it 'dry out'?! Not sure :p

That sounds very interesting. I would think since they weren't sticky maybe before he dehydrated them. I am seriously going to look in that. I had wondered how the parsley would stick to a dry potato.
