New Year's Eve

I feel bad, because his dad truly does love him like crazy and spares no expense for him. I just think he doesn't really know what all having a dog entails. Also, personal tangent here but it makes me SOOOO sad that he chain smokes in a tiny apartment with a brachycephalic dog :( (or any dog, but especially this kind).

It sucks that it's his dog so you can't really tell him what to do, and he obviously means well, but he has to see that Toast is happier with you and Hudson is practically his brother. But then again it's like... It's his dog and he's spent a lot on him, so I'm sure it's an internal battle of "he's mine" and "he's happier as theirs".

Happy New Year Frenchie friends! Quella and I stayed in and cleaned the living and dining room while listening to the crazies shoot off fireworks and hopefully not any guns. I kept her away from the windows just to be safe. Oy vey!

Unfortunately, I haven't followed too much on the Toast situation... But, I dated this guy... more like we went on 3 dates and talked for a week or two trying to get to know eachother. We didn't really hit it off, but as we were chatting his sister from Ohio brought 2 Weimaraner pups to AZ. Well, my dream dog since I was a lil girl was a Y-Me, so when I found about her, I just had to get my paws on her. I lived with my parents and wasn't ready to own my own dog. I just wanted to meet her and play with her. I asked if I could watch her for the weekend until they found a buyer. I brought her straight to the lake to meet my parents and she spent the weekend on the boat with me. I returned her and a few days later and wanted to watch her again. He gave me the garage code so I could go in and get her while he was gone. She was locked in this tiny lil crate. It broke my heart and I kept her ever since. It was under the assumption that it was until he found a buyer, but he never asked to see her again. I had her for 2-3 months. I got her vaccinated and took her everywhere with me. Dog parks, the lake every weekend, restaurants, hiking. She was my baby and a part of the family. Well, as time passed, we really had no reason to talk so the texts slowly dwindled until one day he asked for his dog back. I was devastated. She was better with me. He locked her in a crate and didn't love her the way I did. He threatened to bring the cops to my house, so I paid him $500. Moral of the story is he knew she was better with me and that he couldn't give her the attention, yard, walks, dog interaction I could, but it took him months to accept it. Sometimes it takes time. I hope he realizes it sooner than later for Toasts safety and well being. Again, I don't know the details, so pardon if I'm speaking out of turn.

XoXo from Quella La Roux and her mommy too!

Mavis that is EXACTLY what I did and boy were people acting a fool lol!!! I was so happy to be of sound mind and body when I got home!

Calle Roo, heart breaking story. That would rip my heart out. This poor angel. I don't get how people can be so cruel. This guy used his dog solely to hurt you. My suggestion to eeturk is that if her friend does "give" her Toast at some point, to write him a check "to defer some of his expenses," or "because I just have to give you something for this angel," etc., just so god forbid, he ever changes his mind, you have an actual transaction. Put it in the memo on the check.
PenelopesMommy, Ha, Ha - so glad you enjoyed your night working. I love to people watch on an occasion like this when they are drinking. They have such a false sense of being all that, when a lot of times they can look pretty ridiculous without knowing it. I'm not throwing stones; I'm sure I had lots of people watching and laughing at me in my day! :D

Mavis great suggestion regarding the Toast situation! Boy do I hope it works out!! You're in my thoughts eeturk
