Okay, don't judge me, but yes, I am considering purchasing a stroller for Leo & Molly. There have been very few, but definitely times I wish I had a stroller to put them in to make my life a little easier. :)

I purchased one at Petsmart yesterday. They both fit in it, however, it is VERY crowded. It is the largest one they sell and the weight capacity is stated at 20 lbs, which my two together are 45 lbs. :(

Does anyone else use a stroller and have any recommendations?

I've been looking on MANY sites. :)

I have an OxGord pet stroller that I bought off Amazon. I bought it because I have two frenchies. Norm likes to go on long walks and Lady Bug can barely make it around the block. It works great and has space for storage (Keys, Phone, Poop Bags and Water) We go for our walk and when Lady is tired I put her in the stroller so we can keep going.

Q has the Pet Gear Jogging stroller in Sage. I bought it for Pet Expos, Art Festivals, Restaurant Dining, 5ks etc. I don't expect her to be cooped up in the stroller the whole outing, but if she gets tired or it becomes busy w/people, I can put her in the stroller for everyone's sanity.

I only bought it because it was half price. If it weren't, I probably would have looked in to baby strollers.

It steers really well and is very roomy for Q. I have a spill proof water dish and sometimes put my purse behind her and she is still comfy in a sitting position. It holds up to 70# (I believe).

The cup holder and cubby are not deep enough, so my cell phone, keys and drinks bounce out. I'm going to a baby store this weekend to get a better designed caddy to hold larger drinks like 32 oz and granola bars. The storage compartment under the stroller is hard to get it. You have to physically lift the dog's space to tuck things in. My biggest complaint however can be seen in the photo below with the EB (I found on Google images). If the stroller canopy and front screen are not zipped together, the front screen becomes a flappy unsecuring space. I brought Q to the lake and had her collar connected to the strap in the stroller and instead of staying put, she was trying to balance on the flaccid screen and on a bump literally summersaulted out of the stroller. Now looking back, I shouldn't have walked her without the screen closed, but I figured sometimes it'd be better ventilation or socializing if it were open. I'm working on a piece of plastic to form a barrier on the front, so hopefully I'll be able to fix it low cost and easily.

I bought this stroller on-line at Strollerdepot.com. I don't really use it much anymore, but when Jake was a puppy and then Stella, I would use it because they didn't have all of their shots (I know, I'm a worrier). Retail stores at the malls were about double the price when I was shopping around for one. BTW my husband would not be caught dead ever pushing it!

I have never used one, but they seem like a good idea when you want to take them some place with a lot of walking involved.

Do not forget they make them for bikes as weII that wiII hoId a Iab pIus

Thanks everyone! The hunt continues! :)

I think I will start looking at strollers and researching for when I get my Frenchie next year. I was thinking it would come in handy for when she goes on vacation with us and we do a lot of walking. Not to mention sometimes it gets very crowded.

Did you ever find one? I am looking at the Pet Gear strollers. I have it narrowed down to a couple. I can't decide if I should wait and see how she does when we go on vacation before getting one. We do a good bit of walking, but it's not steady hard walking. There are breaks and such. On the other hand it would also come in handy for shopping. Most stores where we vacation won't allow dogs but I see people with them in strollers all the time in the stores.

I got one for Hotchkiss off of groupon to use until he gets his knee surgery. He doesn't like it at all. I saw they have a double pet stroller on groupon. Maybe that would work better for you. Hotchkiss weighs 30 pounds and it's a tight fit but he does fit.image.jpg
