I’m glad I did when I did , as after speaking to my vet, it turns out she may have Giardia . Appointment at the vets tomorrow for tests.Welcome to FBN… thank you for rescuing her
It’s possible but does her poo have mucus in it and a horrible metallic smell?I’m glad I did when I did , as after speaking to my vet, it turns out she may have Giardia . Appointment at the vets tomorrow for tests.
No, it’s just very loose and an orangey colour. She is very flatulent which I would say smells stronger than her poo.!It’s possible but does her poo have mucus in it and a horrible metallic smell?
Could be giardia or coccida… get a stool sample tested and hold off on food change till test results come backNo, it’s just very loose and an orangey colour. She is very flatulent which I would say smells stronger than her poo.!
I have just returned from the Vets who gave her a thorough check over. As she hasn’t got a temperature , showing no signs of discomfort in her tummy, is lively and eating the vet thinks it is most likely stress related because of her past history. She was a breeding machine for 4 1/2 years and then in kennels for four months , now a new home , lots of walks and doesn’t think it’s anything to worry about.Could be giardia or coccida… get a stool sample tested and hold off on food change till test results come back
Good it isn’t anything serious… give her about 2-3 months for a good transition to her new great lifeI have just returned from the Vets who gave her a thorough check over. Advised me to just give her chicken for a week let her tummy settle , slowly reintroduce food and see what happens, if she shows no signs of improvement or deterioration, then I have to take her back for tests
