Gracie loves to chew. I saw some posts online suggesting antlers. I purchased some good quality elk antlers and she loved them. However, her vet recommended against them because they could damage her teeth. He suggested bendable Kong chews but she completely ignores them. Can anyone suggest any other type of safe chews -- free of chemicals, easily digestible, etc?

I know vets say no to antlers... I’ve used them for 14 yrs with never an issue.

I get moose antlers which are like a paddle and also give raw marrow bones

Our vet says no to antlers because of the sharp slivers that can break off them. We use nylabones for extreme chewers and kongs for extreme chewers. They have antler shaped nylabones now! I'm sure they don't taste as good!

I did try an antler shaped nylabone but took it away from her because she started to gag. It didn't take her long to produce and start ingesting particles from it. She will also chew on a hard nylabone but it doesn't hold her interest for very long. She completely ignores both the softer nylabones and any Kong product I've gotten her to date. The vet also suggested rawhide but I've heard they are not healthy because of the chemicals used in their creation.

Frozen raw marrow bones.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! You've given me a couple of good ideas to look into.
