Soon to be Frenchie owner, have some questions re new puppy :)

Hi all!

I will be getting a Frenchie puppy sometime this month and have been talking to the breeder. Unfotunately, the breeder live in a different city so it we have only been updated via videos and photos. Any input would be helpful! C:

Just some details regarding the puppy, DOB: 24/12/2019. Male.
The puppy is supposedly around 5 weeks old right now but it look very very tiny (his looks like yoda hahah) compared to those I have seen online. We were wondering if he might be the runt of the litter but the breeder assured us that they're all the same size. Not entirely sure but in the W4 video, the puppy seems too small? The breeder did not specify.

He won't be our first dog but it is our first time getting one from a breeder. I will attach some videos below. Thanks alot :tongue:

Neither am I, however I think the puppy looks frail and the legs do not appear robust (just an opinion).

I looked through some videos of 5 week old puppies for comparison.

Agree. Head also looks rather large. Kind of looks like hydrocephalus but I am no vet.

If it were me, I would probably looks elsewhere for a puppy.

@annyeemoji I would not buy that pup. Looks sickly and way too small for a 5 week old pup. Please find another breeder. Here is a pic of one of ours at 5 1/2 weeks old. Look at her legs and the size of them compared to the other pup you want to buy, plus her ears are up already. Go to FBDCA.org web site and look for the preferred breeder list to find some breeders close to you, there you will find reputable breeders. You may even have to travel a bit to get a good, healthy pup.
