Third Eyelid Red

Hi all,

I've got a 15 week old French Bulldog puppy and his eyes are red. I've done some further research and found it is his third eyelid.

They're pretty much always on show and I've taken a picture that hopefully will show you what I mean (it's hard to take pictures of crazy pups!)



Is this normal? Any ideas what this could be? Do I need to take him the vets?

It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but he may be getting cherry eye. I would have the vet take a look at him. You don't want to ignore eye problems.

I agree with [MENTION=600]Jakeyjake[/MENTION], looks like a small cherry eye. Sometimes they can be massaged back in, your vet can show you.

It does look like a small cherry eye.

I agree, looks like cherry eye, or could be an infection of the third eye lid, either way, get a vet to check it.
