Time For Some Tough Love

Loki is about 16 months old now.

We love him and he loves us...maybe too much?

He seems to take issue with my wife and I hugging or sitting next to each other, without him wedging his way in between us.

At least he sleeps in his crate at night.


We have decided to block him out on occasion, banishing him to another couch or chair so we may have a few "non-Loki moments"
without having to close a door on him.


No interest in getting a 2nd Frenchie, then we'd probably have two dogs constantly up our butts!

By the way, another frenchie won't help, we have another frenchie and a pug.

Our 10 month old little man Charlie does that to my wife and I sometimes.
We laugh about it. I just hold/nudge him back and he relents. He sleeps in "his" chair.
We love the little guy. He makes us smile and laugh all the time.
Impossible to get mad at them.
So it's ok.

It sounds like Loki is getting a bit possessive. They are born cuddlers and do feel entitled....A firm NO may help with his butting in!

Cheli is the same way as was our first Bulldog.... to me is seems part of personality... our possessive dominate pushy girl, couldn't have cared less but our two lovebug cuddlers want in on it

Jax and Louie are all up in our business. I can’t even go to the bathroom without Louie barging In on me. And no one can give Jax attention without Louie getting in the mix.
