& update: we know he's not better. Vets calling in the morning with next med info & we pick it up after she calls... She isn't even testing stool, just continuing meds.

Update on Titan's vet appt...

He gained a small amount of weight. He's now 4.7lbs.

Vet switched his probiotic to a paste type, with an anti-diarrhea in the probiotic, and this is 2-3 times a day, whichever we choose based on results we see or just how we feel on it that day.

He got his puppy shots. Vet was getting nervous that he hasn't had any yet and since he put on weight, and he's already sick she made the call. Glad he's had some now. A small peace of mind considering everything else going on.

1 week from today, fecal sample.
1 week from that next round of Panacur & metro.

Brought up tylan powder. Said if I want to try it, we can. She said it's not typically something she uses specifically for giardia? And that it tastes horrible so the pup might refuse to eat, and eating is his most major concern right now.

I brought up his low muscle tone, she said we will probably need to start small tredmil sessions with him...

The list goes on! Lol my poor little guy... He does not deserve this struggle! He doesn't deserve my frustration either! He's just a baby and it's not his fault!

I'm going to need therapy lol.

Edit: the new probiotic is amazing. It's never going out of stock at my house. No diarrhea!!! For the FIRST TIME since Jan 10th! It's a miracle!!!

What a great update -- i know for you it may not seems so, but he is getting there thank to all you love, care and determination! You are one hell of a Momma!

Our shepherd mix has been in and out of the vet all week (she's fine now) and Titan has been on my mind because of it! How is the little guy doing?

Aw glad she's okay!!

He's still got giardia, actually dropped off fecal sample for testing today...

Absolutely refusing Flagyl this time, he's had 3 rounds, it's not working. And it was $55 once & $45 another... For what? Gah.

But he's gaining weight, plays with isabelle, he's a crazy little guy.
