I'm getting ready to order a crate in the next couple weeks for the Frenchie I will be getting probably end of August or first of September. She is full grown and weighs about 23 pounds. I was thinking the 30" long by 20" wide would work, but now I'm not sure. I wonder if I need the 36" X 24"? She will be in it at night until she settles in and hopefully will sleep with me. Other than that she will mostly just be in it for short periods if I have to run to the store or whatever. I don't mind buying the bigger one, but the thing is that I will be taking it on vacation with us and our trunk is kind of small and I want to make sure everything will fit in there. It's already kind of packed without a dog, now we are adding a dog crate and stroller to the trunk so I don't want to buy one any bigger than I have to. What do you guys think? I mean, she doesn't have to be able to play a game of fetch in there, just be able to comfortably turn around, stand up, and sleep.

We use the 36x24 and it is more than enough so you should be good with the 30

I have one of each. The 36" is good for two adult Frenchies. The 30 should be just fine for your needs.

The medium size folding crates is what we use. It's like 30x21? Isa is 20 lbs & can lay frog dog inside, & she has long legs.

Thanks everyone! I am thinking I will go with the 30" since it's just her and she won't be in it that much. That will fit better in the trunk with the stroller and all of our bags when we are heading for vacay. :)

Thank you Alice Kable. I'm definitely going for that size also.

I ordered the 30" x 20". It should be here by the first of next week. I ordered a tag for her also. All that I really NEED now by the time she comes is a collar, and the food. I will probably get a crate pad too. A stroller is on my list but I won't actually need that right when we get her. I probably won't need that until our Winter vacation when we will be visiting stores and doing lots of walking. I want to get some snout soother, potty training bells, and zoom groom by the time I get her, but they aren't things that I HAVE to have. I'm sure I'll have them by then though. Got to have some coats before Winter too, but that's not anything I have to worry about quite yet.

Oh the Rep came in at work the other day and gave me 12 months worth of Heartgard for her and my other dog, so I'm set for heartworm preventative. :D

Hi, is this the stroller which we use for the babies or kids? or there is different for pets? I am looking for here in Australia?

There are actually strollers made for pets... flat without the section for legs/feet

Tgirl - you have been holding out on us! :bitching:

What's this about a new sissie for Twiggy!? Congratulations; can't wait to see her! What color is she?

I would stick with the 30x20; I don't think she needs the bigger size.

I was reading threads and just saw this. I had to go back and read to see what you were talking about lol. The other dog isn't new. She is my 18 year old daughter's dog. She is 12 years old and we have had her since she was dumped on the side of the roads a 7-8 week old puppy. She is with my daughter ALL the time. Sleeps in her room, goes places with her, all that good stuff. Now that my daughter is older and has a job she buys her a ridiculous amount of stuff too. Every day a package is in the mail it seems. Anyway she and Twiggy get along fine but pretty much act as if the other one doesn't even exist. Twiggy is pretty sure that she is a person and doesn't have time to be bothered with dogs. She is so funny. I have friends that will come over and bring their dog INTO the house and Twiggy acts as if they aren't even there..totally ignores the dog.

Oops. Sorry, never mind; I thought you were getting another frenchie.

:D

I'm so glad your daughter loves her dog and rescued this baby.

Bambi thinks she's a people, too. Took her to a small dog meet up with 20 other dogs. She couldn't have cared less.
