Worried mama...

Well I'm going to assume my fears were wrong because from 2pm potty Til now when I fed him and took him out he wants to play jump wrestle me and actually didn't limp outside... Just a tiny bit weird of a walk but he's always walked weird...

I'm going to pray that with a few more days of rest, possibly a script tomorrow, and the NuJoint next week that he will recover!

I'll let you guys know tomorrow if we get any news... Good or bad!

Good luck! I looked into the joint supplements. I wish the Cdn dollar was stronger, everything is double for us up here. :(

Hope Titan is doing better. Keep us posted blushy

Got home from the vet!

No immediate sign of injury. She said he could've tripped and we couldn't tell because of his weird waddle he has anyway and strained a muscle, or like we said, basically just over did it and now he's stiff and sore.

She gave me 25mg Rimadyl, 1 pill twice a day, she said I'm right for limiting activity for a bit, and she 100% agreed with ordering the NuJoint! Bonus ;) She said it will definitely help him and more likely prevent this from happening again.

So glad he's not hurt and she didn't immediately say he had a luxating patella or his hip was popped out of socket or something. She moved him all around and he was annoyed, but she can tell how stiff he is.

He also crawled all around the room and it took us 10 minutes to get him to WALK so she could watch him. My silly goofy boy!

So... Huge relief!

Jakeyjake I just noticed your question on the other thread! No xrays needed yet, she didn't seem overly concerned that it was something some rest and some rimadyl couldn't fix.

If he's still limping next week, since he is back to his old self but still limping a bit, I will call the vet and address it but for now we'll wait it out :)

Oh good. When Jake was young (under a year) he had an episode of waddling his back end. We took him to the vet and the x-rays indicated he has "loose hips". It went away rather quickly and he's never had any issues since. So maybe it's something similar and he was just playing too hard and needs to rest and repair. Lots of cuddles with Mom this weekend:)

Well the play session with the vet caused a relapse, but he got his 25mg rimadyl at 8, so it should kick in and hopefully with that and rest (again) he should bounce back!

The vet already told us that Titan has loose hips but no muscle/tone loss at all in the rear, so basically it's just keeping a healthy balance really. Apparently this was not part of the balance! Haha

Cmon NuJoint hurry and get to me!

I'm late reading this and so sorry to hear about our little poster boy. I hope he just needs some Nu-Joint and time to be back 100%. We are all worrying with you; please keep the updates coming. These frenchies will make you crazy.

Me too but if he's still limping or it goes away & happens again I'll have to do xrays as a start to know more solidly why it happened.

He's back to wanting to run & jump & play. Crazy boy!

Great news!! I hope he'll be back to his normal, crazy self soon!

It was a warm sunny morning. He knew this and did some yoga and wandered around the yard. He doesn't seem to be limping...

The NuJoint should be here today! Here's hoping!

Oh no! just catching up on posts...poor little Titan :( I hope it turns out to be just some random stiffness. Have you felt his back as well to see if you get any reaction from there?
Keep us updated! Good luck Titan, you will be better in no time!

The vet was moving him all around she said it's definitely stiffness in his hips from overworking. He didn't like her messing with him haha.

He's not limping anymore but I'm still limiting his activity.

I'm hoping it stays away!

So happy nothing serious, I was thinking he was just sore and stiff from the long walk, as they can get, just like we can.

I agree! But it only scared me because since he has loose hips it was like a flare up of hip dysplasia imo, even though frenchies are tough and usually don't react to pain, this made me nervous!
