anal protrusion

My boy Frank has a red, bulbous protrusion poking out of his anus. While he's been eating and pooping normally, it's an ugly sight and he constantly drips bloody puss. I took him to a vet a month ago, but they were of no use. He has an appointment with another vet in 2 weeks. In the meantime I've tried hemorrhoid cream but to no avail. He has an appointment with another vet in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know what this is and how I might treat it?

Any emergency vet in your area? That sounds like an infected anal gland which needs to be addressed sooner than later

Yup, maybe infected anal glands. Call an emergency vet if you can or try to get into another vet sooner.
