I've been reading that both of these products can help a lot with a Frenchies health and allergies ( which is what im targeting). Has anyone had luck with feeding their frenchie either one? My little guy seems to bite onto his thigh and just holds it. I believe he has an itch when he does that.

I give coconut oil occasionally and instead of salmon oil, I will usually give sardines about once a week.

I give my dog these supplements:

1) Fish oil ( 300 mg DHA/EPA from an opened capsule ) in morning meal
2) Turmeric in morning and evening meals ( Don't bother adding this unless you add ground pepper or something containing bioperine, since it won't be absorbed otherwise ). I only use 1/4 tsp twice daily but you can use more if you like.
4) Sea kelp 1/8 tsp twice daily ( good for vitamin supplement and for plaque on teeth )
5) Cetirizine 10 mg once daily ( or Chlorpheniramine 4mg twice daily ) for antihistamine
6) Virgin organic Coconut oil 1 tsp twice daily
7) Natural source Vitamin E 400IU ( from opened capsule ) once weekly

Most common causes of allergies are environmental and food. For environmental I give the antihistamine, and it's also a good idea to wipe dog's paws and face and chest with a wet wipe or wet towel after coming in from outside. For food allergies I am giving a commercial brand frozen raw food, but a dehydrated raw food like Honest Kitchen Spruce or Marvel, Spot Farms, or Grandma Lucy's would be almost as good. Try to stay away from chicken and grains even if you don't switch to dehydrated raw or frozen raw dog food.

MY little guy seems to bite onto his thigh and just hold on, as to relieve an itch. I would say for like 5 minutes. Would you say that is a food allergy or an enviromental one?

Sounds more like food allergies but could be both. Environmental allergies would be runny nose when he goes outside and a lot of scratching both indoors and out.

Does he have any other symptoms? Rash, diarrhea, vomiting (different than regurgitation), yeast issues, etc?

he gets red rashes and small bumps that seem to be from outdoors from laying on the grass. They do go away after keeping him away from the grass, and limiting his time on it. And diarrhea and vomiting also have been accurring. Not sure if its regurgitating but it comes out whole, and usually after eating and playing excessively No yeast issues. Runny nose also, once in a while

I'm off to pick up some Zyrtec this morning because Daphne is just miserable and itchy and scooting all over the place. I'm not noticing any relief with Benedryl the times I've tried it. I don't think it's her anal glands. I haven't changed her raw protein yet. She's rather pink again, but thankfully no furuncles on her paws. I'm using coconut oil in her food several times per week as well.

I had to do this with my female bulldog --- wipe her belly, paws and face after being in the grass with a cool wash cloth -- it removes the allergen and lessens the break out

I put Zincofax cream on my dog's bum if she scoots since it can get irritated from a difficult poo, and I know she doesn't have any worms as she's been tested, plus I give her Interceptor Spectrum for heartworm and other worms every 2 months.

I mix my Zincofax with some hydrocortisone and clotrimazole cream, but that's optional.
