Hi, firstly so glad to be able to vent my upset and stress to likeminded people, secondly I'll apologise for going on a bit. My darling boy Boris is intensive care (5days so far) post severe breathing issues. Firstly thought he would have a tie back and on we would go. Not to be. He has had all the surgey so far (nares, etc) and due to upper airway issues and lower airway problem specialist put in temp trachi on mon. So far been up and very down. Awaiting test results for lower airway on 2 antibiotics and steroids and had the tie back yesterday. Was critical but stable last night. This morning vet told me Boris went blue in the night and didn't think he'd make it but he did and is trying his best. Trachi taken out but stoma remains in. I want to see him so bad but am worried it'll stress him too much but also if the worst happens and I've not seen him? I'm so devastated and just trying to remain as positive as I can. So please everyone send as much positive energy and vibes as you can to get Boris well and home.

Oh no... your precious Boris. :(

Sending you and Boris all of my love [emoji173]️

I'd ask your vet if they think you seeing him will help or hurt the situation. I'm sure seeing you would lift his spirits up (positive) but if he ends up trying to be a typical Frenchie and getting excited I wouldn't want him to hurt himself. But if he's had surgeries and such he would be on some type of pain meds, so he would be more calm. So I think I would ask but I don't see what going to see him would do to make things worse besides you getting more nervous or sad... Which it's not like you aren't already.

I really am so sorry about your baby. Keep us posted...

Sadly if he doesn't improve by tomorrow we have to think about euthanasia. But I'm trying so hard to be positive. He is only 2 bless him and such a strong character. He has to pull through.

I'm SO very sorry about Boris!! I hope he's able to pull through. Please keep us posted on him. I'll be sending a bunch of doggie health vibes his way.

So sorry to hear this is happening. Hopefully he will pull through! Sending positive thoughts your way.

It saddens me deeply to hear this. Prayers for Boris's recovery. :(

Oh no, poor little guy! How heartbreaking!! We are saying prayers for him and keeping him and you in our thoughts! PLEASE, pull through little guy!!!!

I am so sorry to hear this about Boris... I also understand your dilemma about wanting to see him but not wanting to upset him. And, if the very worst happens, knowing that you weren't able to spend any time with him. I agree with blushy. Get vet's input.

:angelheart:

What turmoil for you.... sending you lots and lots of positive thoughts that your baby pulls through and is home with you real soon
