Hi. I joined to connect with other Frenchie owners. At present I have one 2- year old pied named Sookie. She is a great little dog though she has had a number of expensive vet visits (pneumonia, nose/throat/palate surgery, pancreatitis). The thing I love the most about her is how bonded she is. We can be out gardening and she just stays with us never wandering away.

Do you have pet insurance to cover those bills? Or had to pay it all yourself? That sure is a lot!

I have Trupanion which covered the majority of the costs.

Welcome to you both! We have 2 Pieds ourselves. We just love the personality of this little breed, and I can't imagine owning another breed now! The vet visits are definitely a downside to this breed, but it is what it is.

I am jealous about her staying right by you! I wear my guy like a sweater inside but outside is a whole 'nother story. If we let him off leash out front he'd be in Texas by the time I turned around! Lol.
