Hi!
I am the proud mom of an almost five month old Frenchie named Mudge and a sweetheart Border Collie named Roxy.
We're considering adopting another Frenchie girl that is Mudge's age.
She has recently been diagnosed with either Grade 2 or 3 Patella Laxation.
I know a bit about it, but I'd really like to hear from some other Frenchie lovers out there who can give me some advice or guidance that could help me know what to expect.
I also just love sharing stories, info and photos with other Frenchie people. 😊

Welcome! I had a bull terrier that had a luxating patella. We did the surgery and he lived a normal healthy life until almost 13 years old. The after care is what is difficult because you have to keep them calm. I had to put a leash on him to do his business outside. He also had a series of adequan injections at the site. I had an orthopedic surgeon do the surgery as I wanted someone who specialized in this field even though my vet told me he did that type of surgery as well. Good luck! Keep us posted.

Thank you so much for sharing. I really want to get this little girl and help her. Fingers crossed!

Welcome to the site, and bless you for trying to adopt the baby girl. Surgery should help it, and after that she should be good to go. :)

Thank you! I hope we can get her and help her!

Hi!!!

I agree with everyone else. Most of them do great after the surgery. I hope you can get her. :)
