Hi everyone,

My wife and I live in Sydney, Australia and today picked up our new puppy Frenchie!
We are delighted so far and very excited about our future together :) hoping to share stories and our love for Frenchies here.

We were hoping someone can help with advice on how much we should feed him, we have purchased eukauba dry and wt food and will wean him onto this (from the food the breeder supplied).
The guidelines on the pack are very confusing.. Our little boy is 9 weeks
Will appreciate any help!

Thanks, Dom

Welcome! I am not sure how much of that food you would feed, as it contains a lot of fillers. Hope to see some pictures of your new baby! How old is he?

I don't normally chime in on food. To each his own, but Radar was on eukanuba dry from the breeder and after a couple of months would randomly throw up. I think it was an intolerance to the food because when I switched him to natural balance limited ingredients it stopped immediately. When I did the change I did do it slowly. Basically I took the recommended amount of the old food and took a percentage out replacing it, by volume with the new food. After roughly a week he was on the new food. I also did add canned pumpkin to help with the transition. I hope that helps and you enjoy your new smoosh face. I can't tell you how much joy and fun Radar has added to my life.

:hiii::welcome:so gIad you found this forum first Congrats your Iife has been enriched sure Benson wiII be a huge part in that. There are a few things I teII new owners, grab as many pics as possible as they grow so fast, the biting gets better just wait until they Ioose the baby teeth, do not play tug of war until they know not to bite. A bit concerned about the food check out the top right hand corner of the page and there is a search engine enter food and read up on the threads - great educational tool.Make sure your vet knows the breed and for some a good dog insurance. MOST importantly have fun be patient and consistent and good to and for each other. :mansfriend:

:smileywelcome: Congratulations to you and your new fur baby. Do take a look at the research done on food before you start the change.

Welcome to FBN. :smileywelcome: and congrats on your new addition. We can't wait to see pics!! Like others have said on here, definitely do your research on food before making the switch. There are some great articles on here about different brands and also types of feeding (kibble vs. raw, etc etc).

Welcome!

:welcome3: congrats on your new baby!

Being in Australia, I am not sure of all your food choices, but her in the states Eukauba is not a good food, has lots of filler.
@Ftse 100 is in Australia and has an English Bulldog, maybe she can give some suggestions.

Hi and welcome to the site. I'm not sure on the exact amount to feed that food, but I would start with 1/3 cup three times a day. If the poop is soft cut back a little on the kibble, and if the poop is hard, feed a little more. Here is a kibble rating article that you can go by and fine a good grain free food in your area.

Hi I am in Australia like Christine said, I know the vets try to push Eukauba on to you as the best but I really feel the same as Christine I have used quite a few different foods for Ftse first of all Royal Canin which was fine when he was a puppy but the Adult food caused all sorts of problems, Black hawk is a good one but Ftse had yeast problems with that now we are using A new one Hypoallergenic one it is tuna and rice very pricey but so far so good it is a blue package and I think its Advantax not 100% sure on the name I would look but I am away on holidays at the moment.

I would also like to :welcome3: you to FBN and hope you learn so much here Dom and you will receive plenty of help and advice.
