Videos added at bottom - We have a vet appt tomorrow but I can't stop thinking and wondering what could this be. Last week I noticed safari was a bit more lazy than usual. I didn't really think anything of it. He used to love playing with our older dog but when he tried to play with safari he just stood there. I thought about taking him to the vet last week but he has been eating drinking and everything else is normal. Doesn't seem to be in any pain when i check all over. Well last night he was on the couch and his shoulder and neck muscle start twitching hard. For about 1.5 hours. He didn't seem to be in any pain and was alert during it but just laid there. Nothing new. No new food bedding etc. have you ever seen this. No injuries.
I can't figure out how to load the video
Maybe I could email it to someone?

Video has to be on Youtube , then post the link here. Or, load it via Tapatalk phone app.

Cheli sometimes does this, maybe what you are seeing, but it is like he is shivering (cold) -- I do the same you did.... checked everything and he is eating fine, all behavior normal otherwise. Mentioned it to my vet, and he did not find anything either.

Hope your baby is fine and it is nothing serious

Buster does the shivering thing and not because he's cold,it is because there is something he is afraid of or worried about. It is weird, but nothing is wrong with him.

Was he sleeping? If so he could have just been having a bad dream

Hi Safari, I saw a slight twitch but nothing that I would say is abnormal. I think sometimes they can twitch like that when they are relaxing or comfortable. I think you are being a doting mommy (daddy?); these babies can drive you nuts, that is for sure. Hope you don't see anything more concerning.

Bambi hasn't eaten her breakfast or dinner today and it is weighing heavy on me. She does this occasionally but it always makes me a wreck.

Mavis. You are completely right. I was a paranoid mommy. The vet didn't really care at all and didn't even check the muscles or back. Said she thinks it's somehow related to his skin allergies? And finally put him on apoquel. I'm excited about that! Thank you all for your responses.

Apoquel works great. Twiggy is on it. She was off of it for a few weeks and started chewing her feet again. I tried Benadryl and it didn't phase her so I just went back to the apoquel. I'm glad the vet wasn't worried about the twitching. I know exactly what you mean though. I freak out over every little thing with my dog.

Tgirl do you remember how long it took for you to notice results from the apoquel? Did you keep her on the same diet? I'm still feeding fromms beef frittata. I really hope this works. Although it's expensive- $60 for 45 pills it's a lot cheaper than allergy testing.

Apoquel helped her within about a day. I do have her on the same food because she has always been on it and just itches seasonally.
