So I'm going to visit salt lake to see the living situation, I'm thinking if I should take stitch with me, we'll be driving so that's okay but if we go exploring I don't know if it's okay to leave him in the hotel for a few hours? And how do they really react don't they get anxiety, I'm just worried he might get all fired up and nip at everyone if we walk him around downtown afterwards.

You should be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine. We took Banksy to Tofino which was like 9 hours drive. We kept him in the house we rented in a crate when we were out and about and didn't bring him. But most of the time he was with us.

So its up to you really. do you wanna bring him or not?

If you do then bring him! He will be fine

I agree with the others. Take him with you! He will love to hang out with you on the drive. A crate will help reduce anxiety if he's crate trained.

Check the hotel policy as some hotels may not want the dog left unattended, even if crated. If the dog gets anxiety and is not crate trained, he may bark nonstop.

They do travel well, and keep him in a crate when left in the hotel, as long as he is crate trained. We do it when we are at an out of town dog show. You can also try taking him with you when you go to town, just make sure it's not too hot.

We are taking him and hopefully won't be feisty lol It's our first trip with stitch so I'm really looking forward to it. Today is the day!!! Lol

He'll do fine. Our dogs do extremely well On trips/hotel stays! Both are crate trained and we make sure to stay at pet friendly hotels (if they bark it doesn't matter, it's pet friendly and I paid to keep them there - barking or not!).

He was friendly with everyone I'm really surprised he's very different in Vegas. Hopefully if my move pushed through he keeps this attitude of his and say bye bye to the mask! Lol
