She's such a tough little girl!! I'm glad she is at home and is healing up! Continued health mojo sent her way!!

Thanks again all. Today is 7 days after her second surgery and slowly moving around more and more each day. Left leg looks much better and swelling has gone down. We take short walks in the afternoon to stretch it out.

Sorry i have not posted any updates but today was a very frustrating one. I got home and Rosie came up to me and i noticed a nice size bump on her leg. As i looked closer i thought damn the pin came out. Rushed her to the vet and sure enough that is what it was. Gave him a few words and told him how frustrating this is since she has already had 2 surgeries to help fix her luxating patella issue. So now he wants to keep it there for 2 weeks to let everything heal more and then he will remove it but making a slight cut, remove pin, then add 1 stitch after it is removed. We also have to monitor it and if it slips out, we have to slide it back down in place. Sure enough i had to do it when we got back home. He wants to crate her, which she absolutely hates or give her some meds to keep her very calm and he said its almost like someone drinking a glass of wine, wow. sorry for long post but not a happy camper right now. Just when she was doing so well.

Oh my gosh that's horrible! Poor Rosie! And poor you! I can imagine how upset you are over all of this!

I'm sending you all the good vibes I have!

Poor little Rosie!! :( I'm SO sorry that you both are going through this. I sure hope that she gets it fixed once & for all!!

Oh no what a nightmare. Soooooo sorry you and she are having such a tough time with this. What about an x pen to limit her activity? Good luck.

Jakeyjake, we put her in our utility room which is not a big area during the day while we are at work.

So sorry this is all happening to your sweet girl.... Sending prayers

Oh no...... This is such a shame to hear she's having more problems. Poor thing. You must be very frustrated. It's a big ask to have you keep moving the pin back into place, but I get why they dont want to operate again. Really tough.....

Sorry for late update, but the pin was getting to the point where i had to keep putting it back in place so decided to remove it. Last Friday i brought her in and it was removed and within 2 hours she was back home. She is actually walking around more and it seems to be bothering her less.

That's great news!

That is good news that it helped improve her! Poor Rosie going through all of this! Ugh!

Sending my good vibes this is it and she can be 100% healed this time!

Almost 8 weeks now after last surgery and so far Rosie seems to be doing much better. She is wanting to run around more lately and wanting to be more active so we have been taking her on daily walks to strengthen her legs and seems to be helping. Thanks again all for the support you all have shown. Really like coming here for advice.
