Just curious if you guys think Jake's fur lookis normal on his head. I feel like it has changed somewhat and looks lumpy. It's soft to the touch and there are no bumps. It just seems to me it used to have a smoother more consistent appearance. It's just like this on his head too.

Is his skin red/pink behind the ear?

That is unusual. Does he scratch it?

No he doesn't scratch it at all. I'm beginning to think it could be from the Apoquel he has recently started taking and is just hair loss. :(

It does look like something is going on up there, might be fixing to loose that hair on top, but hopefully new will be coming in.

Well silly me...finally figured out that this is hives on Jake's head. I was transitioning him to a raw diet (Primal) and was half way there. I pulled way back last night for his dinner and this morning it already looks better. No raw chicken for Jake:(

GET OUT.....hives? My female Bulldog was allergic to chicken too... she looked like a pimple ball the two times it happen to her

Isa had hives when I tried Beef Friatta FROMM.

I was almost gonna say hives but they didn't look like the normal hives you usually see!

I'm glad you were able to figure it out but sucks you have to find another food for Jake.

Hudson can't have raw chicken either...he goes crazy on chewing his feet and gets itchy. Glad you figured it out! We are on pork based raw now and he's doing sooo well with that protein base.
