Hi everyone! I am looking to change to a grain free food. I have noticed paw licking and occasional vomiting (which I was thinking may be from the heartworms) I am currently feeding 4 health lamb and rice. I don't have a pet store near me so I get food from Tractor Supply. What is a reasonably priced grain free food I can get from there? Also which is better dry or canned? Thanks!

Do they carry Fromm Family Foods? If so I would do with that. Many people here do :)

If not I'm not much help :( Sorry!

And I hope your baby feels better soon! [emoji173]️

i think 4Health has a grain free line... check with the store. Also, are you open to ordering online and having it delivered... if yes, try petflow.com they offer free shipping and if you enter our code 'Bulldog25' you get $25 off first order

@ Blushy no they do not carry Fromm as far as I know. And thank you!
@ 2bullymama yes they do have a grain free line, I was just seeing what all everyone suggested...I will check that website out! The only downside is I travel a lot during the summer with my husband's job but I'm home during school months so my son can go to school. I'm not sure if the constant change of address would be an issue. But I will def check it out! Thank you

I have heard good things about Taste of the Wild and I think Tractor supply carries it. When does her heartworm treatment start?

We're on Taste of the Wild here. So far, so good! We just transitioned Bisou from the salmon puppy formula to bison & venison flavor, and she can't get enough of it. She spends a solid 5 minutes after she's done just licking her and Shasta's bowls...

All I can say is try the grain free food from TSC and see how it goes.

Fromm is best in my opinion. Mine started out on 4Health, and this is supposed to be a pretty good, reasonably priced, grain free food, however, the rice is not grain free obviously. Mine were on turkey and potatoe, I believe is what I remember. I switched them because I had heard that potato is very yeasty and mine where licking their paws excessively. Since switching them to Fromm, they do not lick their paws.

I think I remember seeing Blue Buffalo in our Tractor Supply...

OK so I went to tractor supply and after debating on TOTW High Prarie GF and 4health GF I ultimately decided to give the 4health duck and sweet potato grain free a try. They have a lot of the same ingredients including the sweet potatoes. (Except for the meat of course..The TOTW was bison and venison) we will give it a try and see how it goes. Thanks everyone!

good luck and let us know how he does after the change...

Thanks everyone for your advice! I have her on the 4 health grain free duck and sweet potato right now but if it doesn't seem to help, I will try fromm. I would really like to switch my Yorkie also so I don't have to buy 2 different kinds of food so that will be my next task. He will be 1 in may..should I keep him on puppy food until then or would it be OK to transition him to the same thing Maggie is eating?
