I have a 6 year old frenchie, At 3 he developed allergies so as suggested by my vet changed his diet, started him on Allergy desensitization monthly injections, not great with success ! I have often brought this up with my vet and she has deterred me from stopping these injections advising me e could be worse off without them. Seriously 3 years on I wonder. I have tried everything from cremes, shampoos, food , I can for my wee man and am beside myself if hes not sleeping hes itching. Rubs his tummy on the carpet- tries to scratch his belly and sides constantly last night I gave him a bath with vinegar rinse to settle him. The only thing I haven't tried are steroids I haven't wanted to go there. When I have shown my vet his tummy which is has a brown look to it which would suggest to me a yeast infection, its suggested I wash his belly and scrub off the brownish build up off. Its in his skin Has anyone experienced what im describing?

I am sorry I won't be very helpful because my experience with dog allergies is all food related. I can tell you that 3 years is not a long time for allergy shots. I get shots and will have them for 3-5 years, with boosters for the rest of my life.

Welcome to FBN. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your little man! :smileywelcome:

Hi there,

I have him on a raw food diet, chicken, lamb, heart, green tripe, hes allergic to just bout everything else.

If its a yeast infection you can try Kefir. It is a probiotic but it not only helps the digestive system but is also loaded with beneficial yeast that kills of pathogenic yeast and prevents it from coming back. Look for pure,local/organic Kefir.
