Hi! Im new to the forum, I came here to see if anyone has experienced something like this before. We've recently added a new member to our family "Comba" and he has a white mass on top of his head, between his ears. Ill post pictures so that it can be seen. Whilst examining it myself I can pinch UNDER the mass and it doesn't feel connected to anything. It doesn't cause him any pain, and he isn't bothered by me touching it or pinching around it.
Has anyone seen anything like this before?
We'll be going to the vet this week. He's 5 months old. And is fed Royal Canin Indoor.

Sorry, I don't know what this could be... Hope the vet can figure it out.

But, please do some research on the food you're feeding. Royal Canin is a very low quality food.

I live in Taiwan and getting any of the name brand foods is exceedingly difficult. This is the closest thing we could find from the pet store. Mostly we find white bags that say "DOG FEED" which I don't exactly trust. The Royal Canin is what he's been fed all this short little life. What do you recommend?

Also, Well be going to the vet this week to get him all checked up and checked out. We got him from a puppy store here and he wasn't living in the best conditions. I wouldn't normally buy a puppy from a pet store, and I never have. ( Except now ) I hope I'm not judged too harshly for doing so. We saw him and just fell in love. His little ears were down and he was so scared. He's done a 180 since being here with us.

I have seen that before on an English bully. It is from allergies, either food or seasonal. Wash is with antibacterial soap, and you can even use some Chlorhexidine spray on it. It should go away in a month or two.

:welcome3: to FBN .... no juding allowed on here -- we are here to help.

RC is not a great food, but realize your choices are limited.... see if you can find a grain free food if possible, that could help limit some of the allergens. since he is a pup, it could be mites so ask the vet to do a skin scape to rule it out. Otherwise, it could be allergies... in that case do as David suggested with the cleaning.

good luck and keep us posted

Thank you! We go to the vet thursday! He's going for puppy shots and to figure whats on his little noggin. It doesn't seem to bother him, but I haven't ever had such a young dog. So everything is totally new to me.

Please do not get him vaccinated as long as he has the mass. His body is obviously fighting something. It is illegal to vaccinate unhealthy dogs, but some vets do.

I'm the same! I've been feeding my pup Royal Canin since i've got her and she seems to be doing well on it.. I live in Spain so i have limited options and it seems to be the best one (and only one really) available here specifically for French Bulldogs... but reading so many comments on this forum saying RC is low quality is worrying me now :fie:

I have to say that i was also one of thoe frenchie owners who started my puppy on Royal Canin because thats what she was eating when i picked her and what every vet i went to suggested. i was non-the-wiser until i started noticing bald patches on her fur around her eyes and head. Then the major fart bombs and loose stool. So i switched her to Fromm puppy gold and she was doing ok on that but then she just refused to eat it. I tried toppers and everything she just wouldn`t eat it. even the wet canned version. So after reading many threads here i made the decision to switch her to raw food. i was very nervous but she LOVED it!! And her fur is so healthy and shiny that i barely put coconut oil on her anymore.

Making a decision was very overwhelming for me, so i understand if you also have very limited choices.
