How is miss Chloe doing?

Chloe is still slowly improving. I can’t get her to drink anything to save my life. I add water to her food but I don’t think it is enough to keep her hydrated. So I am going to keep giving her the sub q fluids. She still is laying around all day. I am going to weigh her in a little bit to see where we are at. Oh and one other thing has me concerned is she tries to pee and only a few drops come out. That just started yesterday. So that is where we are right now.

Eating the wet food will have her not needing to drink... keep up the subqs.

Wonderful! And I know you are concerned about her not drinking but if she is eating canned food, that has a lot of moisture in it already.

Very happy to read you were finally able to entice Chloe to eat some canned food and that she is gobbling it up. And she's gained almost 2 pounds? That's awesome!!

My dog hardly drinks any water - just if she is super hot. It's because there is high water content in her food. Don't worry too much about it since she is eating the canned food. Any changes in her peeing?

I know it seems like forever when your baby is sick with something like this but a weight gain versus a weight loss is a significant outcome, no matter how small. Chloe finally appears to be going in the right direction. This is very good news.

Her pee is good now. And 8.6lbs today! Whoop whoop!

Ok question for you guys! What is a good and safe thing to put on her raw bottom? I tried destin and does not work. I was looking at more of a powder to keep it dry! Is monkey butt ok? She can reach her butt so I want to make sure it isn’ Toxic but I need to keep that area as dry as possible because she is constantly leaking. Any suggestions?

Hmmmm....hope someone has a good suggestion for this. Would a diaper not work? I honestly don't know. So happy she is 8.6 pounds now! Thanks for keeping everyone updated. Really pulling for her continued progress!!!

I used Monkey butt when Banks had colitis flair up... it is a good option.

They are resilient little peanuts, with a little help to get over the hump. The day will come when she is 100% and doing zoomies around the house, and your heart will sing. :happydance:

Bambi swoons over my husband, but I know she is really my girl. I bet it is the same with Chloe.

Chloe is doing fantastic. She is starting to act like a puppy. She is just over 10lbs now. She gives me lots of kisses and I love it. She tries to play with the other dogs but she is still just a little weak to do so. She has quite the personality and she is so smart. I gave her a bath last night and she does not like that to much. She had quite the attitude. She doesn’t give kisses when she is mad at you. I could not be happier with her improvement. Thank you to all you guys for your advice and support.
