My boy is 10.5kg at 21 weeks.

A lot of the size charts online seem to say he is overweight but he is in great condition.

I’m pretty sure he will weigh more than 28lbs when fully grown.

He has gone through 3 harnesses already and is growing really quickly.

He’s my first small dog.

I’m sure my other dogs (boxer, bull terrier, pitbull) didn’t outgrow everything so quickly when they were pups.

Im avoiding buying anything too expensive atm, as its useless after a few weeks

I have two… my ole man is 28 lbs and our young guy is 18 lbs. during the first year they tend to grow’up’ the second year they will grow ‘out’ I bought as needed during growing seasons. Sucks but no way around it really

I want to buy a quality harness, as his current one is a bit flimsy and he’s stubborn sometimes.

Size A should be a good fit for a French bulldog when grown, but I’m considering size B

They are grow and finish off deferent…. Cheli is 28 lbs with a very large chest and small waist. Cubby is 18 lbs and small chest. It’s really difficult to say how they will look from 21 weeks to 24 months. If you want to buy now… go with B as you can adjust down/up as he grows

Is it true frenchies stop growing at 9 months?

My male is just shy of 30lbs and my female is only about 16lbs. We have always used Joy Ride harnesses.

Bruce is 17 months and weighs 29 lbs.
He's always hungry and will eat anything. I have to watch him so he doesn't eat my other dogs food.

Just my 2 cents, but I would start slimming him down now. He will more than likely start having terrible health problems as he ages. Weight is a major health issue for Frenchies.

big for a Frenchie .. I how does he look?

I agree. But he is very stocky (no fat on him) and taller than my 13 year old and he was 30 lbs, but pretty fit. I'll send pics soon. Let me know what you think. Thank you o

He is a good looking boy! My one boy is 26 lbs but at times would hit 28-30. 30 was too much 26-27 is seemingly the best for my guy. You boy does look on the taller side.

Thank you! Your Frenchie's are adorable. I appreciated everyone's help.
As far as food, he is eating a good chicken kibble, but I'm wondering for future, if he should be on a different diet? Is there a better kibble he eats once a day.
Sometimes, his poo will be a little runny, but not extreme. Is there a good probiotic I should put in his food?

Thanks again.

I wouldn’t change food if it’s working for him but with the runny poo .. it could be too much food for him. How much do you feed a day? What brand of food are you feeding

Hello. Thanks for your reply.
I feed Bruce 1 1/2 cups - Nutri Source Chicken and Rice. I also put in a probiotic packet I got from the vet as needed. He doesn't seem to have any reaction to the food. I would like to try him on the lamb, turkey or salmon.

Thanks 😊

Go with turkey and avoid potatoes.... the 1 1/2 cups is a lot of food. Years ago I had a 60 lb bulldog that only got 2 cups for the whole day. I currently feed raw and my two frenchies get a little less than 1/3 of a cup twice a day.
